Boats have been purchased for the landowner companies in 2012. These boats were delivered to provide local communities with improved mobility.
These boats have provided teachers with the ability to travel to their posting and return at the end of the term. Previously teachers have not attended their posting as they had no way of returning at the end of the term.
The boats have been utilised to provide access to health care on an emergency basis such as accidents and childbirth.
The boats have given the communities the ability to access markets in order to sell their produce, and also deliver goods back to the communities. Many of these goods would not have been able to reach these communities previously in a viable manner.
